In its continuous campaign to draw attention to issues of great importance to diabetes, the Diabetes Information Team together with the Negros Women for Tomorrow foundation and Bacolod City Health Office will be celebrating the National Diabetes Awareness Week this July 27 to August 2, 2014.
Join the team as we walk, dance and have fun to celebrate diabetes awareness and advocacy with a theme entitled, "I CHOOSE TO BE SUGAR-FREE" which gives emphasis to the individual's determination in his battle against this lifestyle disease.
This yearly event will commence on Sunday, July 27, 2014 as we celebrate Family Fun Day at the Lupit Church grounds. There will be games, mini-lectures, snacks, raffle & prizes and a lot of freebies for our diabetic patients and their families. The week-long celebration will culminate on August 2, 2014 in its grand celebration, the Negros Sugar Summit which is already running on its 7th year. The grand event will start with a morning walk, Lakat Sikat and followed by Funrobics competition at the Bacolod Bay Center.
